Airplane!

It was like a scene from my favourite comedy film, Airplane!

The co-pilot woke suddenly from a slumber, mistook the shining planet of Venus for an oncoming aircraft and put the Air Canada jet into a terrifying nose-dive, causing pandemonium in the passenger cabin.

The pilot intervened and pulled the plane up, and some sort of uneasy calm was restored. 

It made me laugh out loud when I heard about it on the news this morning. 

But not so funny for the passengers.  Although it’s a tale to dine out with.
